Admin Staff

Northern Piedmont Sports Club is hiring front office staff for our rapidly growing sports club. This is a part time job between 15 t o 30 hours a week, however, during our busy times, you may have the option to work more. The right candidate will be responsible for the support of the Director of Operations. The right candidate will also help with running club programs and activities. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Website management, field set up, tournament director and support, scheduling, working with our membership, working with vendors, creating fundraising and sponsorship opportunities and special event support.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, pass a background check, and complete safe sport training.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of word, excel, power point.
Must have a basic knowledge and enjoyment of sports.
Must be able to work both in a group setting, and independently.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Fundraiser/Sponsorship Coordinator

The Fundraiser/Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for fundraising and sponsorship gatherings for all sports. This position is very important to the club as it will give us the ability to keep cost down, while helping to grow the NPSC brand and presence within the Fauquier, surrounding areas, and sports community. This is a paid position based on the commissions from the money raised through fundraising and sponsorships.

There will be at least one major fundraiser per season per sport or combined sports. All fundraisers will be presented to each sports committee and Executive Board for approval.

Our tournaments are a fundraiser. The coordinator will be our Tournament Director and responsible for all club tournaments. Tournaments do not count as the major fundraiser.

The Hunt Country Classic is currently the only tournament. It is a soccer tournament in November that we partner with NVSC. The Tournament Director will be responsible for:

Reserving the fields needed to Fauquier County

Reserving the port-a-poddies for the fields

Ensure that there are trainers at each field

Online registration for whole tournament

Coordinate with NVSC’s Tournament Director

Have fields lined

Ensuring that each field on tournament day has

Field Marshall Tent

Tournament book

Tournament Director must attend the tournament.

The coordinator will get a base pay of $2,000 as the Tournament Director of the Hunt Country Classic plus $10 on all registered paid teams (300 paid teams in 2021).

NPSC is looking for sponsors for items such as:

Uniforms Fields

Corner Flags Gym

Volleyball Courts Website

Equipment Future indoor/outdoor facility

The coordinator will receive 10% of net of all fundraiser and sponsorship money brought in except the tournament. Money to be paid out as money is deposited into our bank each month. If contracts cover multiple years, coordinator with get paid each year as that money is deposited.

As tournaments are add compensation will be determined on a case-by-case bases.

The coordinator will not be eligible for pay outs for any current contracts that NPSC has signed prior to the hiring date.

Volleyball Job Position description

Travel Volleyball Head Coach:

Must have a current Safesport or it must be completed before tryouts start
Must be Impact Certified
Must be CAP1 certified or working on getting certified

Referee Mentor Description

NPSC is looking for a Referee Mentor to help with our newer referees and to answer any questions that that seasoned referees may have.

The requirements are:

Must be a current certified referee.

Able to attend matches both Saturday and Sundays to observe referees during their matches with the understanding that you may be refereeing matches yourself.
Chat/meet with the new referees before their games.
Provide much needed feedback during halftime to facilitate immediate corrections if needed.
Chat with new referees after their games (or even by email afterwards) - if need be.
Help alleviate any anxiety new referees may experience as they attempt to work their first few games.
Answer any questions new referees may have.
Work with other referees who are not scheduled to work any games yet, but they may want to come out and observe a live game in action along with the referee mentor.
Schedule a pre-season meeting with all our referees to go over any new rule changes, questions, and concerns.
