Thank you for Coaching with NPSC's Flag football league.  All head and assistant coaches must register with NPSC, complete a background check, and complete the safe sport training before the first practice. All completed safe sport certificates must be emailed to us at [email protected]. This training must be completed once a year. 

Head coaches must select their 1st assistant coach no later than February 15 or they will have to wait until after the draft to select an assistant. This person must be registered in our system and have a completed safe sport training by the 15th in order to qualify as an assistant. 

Draft

All head coaches are required to attend the evaluations/draft. 

Draft date: Sunday March 5

Players will be evaluated on the following; 
40 yard dash
Passing drills
Receiving drills
Flag pulling

Head Coaches Child will be placed as the 3rd round pick
Assistant coaches' child will be placed as the 2nd round pick. 

Any players who do not attend the evaluations will be discussed in terms of what round pick they are, prior to going into the hat to be hat picked.

Sample Practice Session

If you need some ideas on how to run a practice, we have created a sample practice session: 

6:00-6:05 Talk to Parents. Collect Emergency Contact Forms; Remind all to bring Water bottles and Mouthpieces, Hand out Game and Snack Schedules.

6:05-6:10 Talk to Kids. Pick 2 Practice Captains. Cover kids again on Team Rules about no talking while coach is talking, no rock throwing, no hands on other players, HAVE FUN!

6:10-6:20 Lap & Warm-ups. Cherry Pickers, Windmills, Hurdle Stretches, Toe Touches, Jumping Jacks, Run in Place.

Station 1: QB-Center Snap (QB= Kelsey Center=Garrison and Anthony) 
Station 2: Receiving (Chris and Ryan)
