Northern Virginia native and proud dad of four, Coach Burrell jumped into coaching in 2022 when his daughter’s NPSC team needed a leader — and he’s been all in ever since! What started on the rec courts quickly turned into a passion for developing young athletes and building winning teams.

After helping guide NPSC’s 15U travel squad in 2023–2024, Coach Burrell took the reins of the 16U team and led them to four Gold Bracket finishes in just nine tournaments. Now gearing up for the 2025–2026 season, he’s fired up to lead the 17U National Team and continue pushing players to reach their full potential — on and off the court.

Gary is a member of JVA, AAU, and USA volleyball. He has his Impact Training and is Safe Sport Certified.

He received his certificate for completing the Art of Coaching High School Prep Clinic 2024 and NEAAU Volleyball Master Class.
